Shabby Chic Nursery Details

Welcoming our precious baby girl, Paityn! During my pregnancy, I crafted a stunning shabby chic nursery inspiration for our beautiful little angel. The spacious bedroom included twenty-foot slanted ceilings and an oversized closet. The elegant curves of the crib add just the right touch of simplicity and charm to our darling’s nursery. With its welcoming, soothing hues, it provides a tranquil haven for our little girl to thrive in.

Pink is often the quintessential girly color, but incorporating a dusty teal hue was a brilliant method to soften its prominence. The tufting on the ottoman, the backrest of the chair, and the burlap lampshade eloquently showcase my affection for vintage aesthetics. The ottoman serves as a practical storage solution as well as a foot rest. I’ve opted to store the nursing pillow, towels, breast pump, and blankets within its confines.

Custom chalk painted dresser

In our quest for the perfect dresser within our budget, we stumbled upon an old piece at a nearby Salvation Army store that we resolved to restore. Customizing the dresser to match my precise specifications, it turned out beautifully. Painted in a charming dusty teal blue hue, adorned with brushed gold handles and crystal knobs, it serves as a delightful addition to the room. The sanded edges evoke my fondness for shabby chic aesthetics. The decorative birdcage and faux flowers add a touch of whimsy to this exquisite ensemble.

Assembling all the elements for this nursery was a time-consuming endeavor, far exceeding my initial expectations. However, the outcome held profound significance. Little Paityn graced our home in July of 2015 and found solace in her perfect new nursery, where she could flourish and grow.
