Textures and Patterns
Today, I’m excited to feature a Master Bedroom Design that I am currently working on! This client has been absolutely amazing to work with. She and her husband wanted something cozy, with a mixture of blue and natural hues. Our main focus was textures and pattern.
Mixing Metals
I introduced the idea of mixing metals, and she was so iffy on the idea until I presented the look to her. Most clients are afraid of the idea of mixing metals, but I say go for it! If it’s done tastefully, it can totally be done right. We incorporated gold and black metals. Black in the drapery rod and in the frame of the artwork. Gold in the furniture hardware and legs, as well as the frame of the mirror. Simple and tasteful as can be.
Statement piece
What is the first thing about the drawing below that you notice? To most, it’s the chandelier. We added a seashell chandelier to be the focal point of the room. The texture of the chandelier is so empowering, it automatically attracts the viewer’s attention. It ties the space well together. This client is from Naples, FL, so it was a perfect fit for the client to bring the beach into her home. See something you like? Links to all the items are below!
