Shabby-Chic Nursery Details

Welcoming our sweet little girl into her new home!

Welcome sweet baby girl, Paityn! A gorgeous shabby chic nursery for a gorgeous little girl. My daughter’s nursery has twenty-foot slanted ceilings, and a ceiling fan that was argued to stay due to budget constraints (ugh-um, husband’s idea). This Million Dollar Baby crib’s curves is the perfect, yet simple touch to my baby girl’s nursery. Welcoming, inviting hues, and calm place for the baby to be.   Pink is typically the girly color of choice, and tossing in a dusty teal hue was an impeccable way to tone down the pink. Tufting on the ottoman,  back rest of the chair, and burlap lampshade are an eloquent way to express my passion and love for vintage. The ottoman works as a storage center as well; which I chose to set the nursing pillow, towels, breast pump and blankets in.

Custom chalk painted dresser

During our search for the right color dresser, and clinging to a certain budget, we came across an old dresser at a near Salvation Army that we decided to restore. The dresser was customized to my exact wishes, and turned out lovely. The color is a dusty teal blue, with brushed gold handles, and crystal knobs. A simply stunning complement to the space. Sanded edges on the dresser expressed my love for shabby chic, also adding a decorative bird-cage, and faux flowers into this stunning mix. dresser-restoration This nursery was extremely time-consuming to find all of the pieces to the puzzle. It definitely took a lot longer than I had expected, but the end result had so much meaning to it. Little miss Paityn was welcomed into our home in July of 2015 and sought comfort to grow in her beautiful new nursery!
